Mock Turtle History

Mock Turtle Marionette Theater is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization established in 1978. As a touring children’s theater, Mock Turtle has performed some four thousand shows in the Mid-Atlantic Region. At home in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the theater’s work focuses on community partnerships, family theater at the IceHouse Performing Arts Center and educational programming for the schools. The theater partners with a network of artists and arts groups to produce new works for the community and for touring. A strongly mission- driven organization, Mock Turtle is increasingly involved in the development of the regional Sustainable Arts community.
